Audaryspaq is a traditional form of horseback wrestling and one of the most spectacular national sports.
Two athletes on horseback take part in a bout. Their goal is to unbalance the opponent and throw him from the saddle while keeping stability and control of their own horse.
Victory depends not only on the athlete's strength, but also on technique, stability in the saddle, the right tactics and mutual understanding with the horse.
Audaryspaq took shape in the culture of nomadic peoples, for whom the horse was for many centuries an integral part of life, work, warfare and national traditions.
Equestrian contests developed strength, endurance, determination, coordination and the skill of wrestling on horseback.
Over time the folk contest evolved into an independent sport with established rules, judging, weight categories and a system of athlete training.
Today audaryspaq preserves the bond between generations, continues the traditions of ancestors and develops as a modern equestrian sport.
The Audaryspaq Federation develops national horseback wrestling, supports athletes and coaches, organizes competitions and promotes audaryspaq in Kazakhstan and beyond.
The Federation works on improving sporting rules, developing the judging corps, preparing the national team and expanding international cooperation.
To preserve and develop audaryspaq as an integral part of the national cultural and sporting heritage, to create modern conditions for athlete training and to promote this unique sport beyond Kazakhstan.

Our task is to preserve this unique heritage, create worthy conditions for athletes and pass the national sport on to future generations.
The establishment of the World Horseback Wrestling Federation in 2023 was an important step in developing international cooperation. We have united countries with their own traditions of horseback wrestling and a shared aspiration to develop this spectacular sport.
We are open to new members ready to strengthen sporting and cultural ties between peoples together with us."
